A brand combining the old with the new

Our Client

The Garage has been part of the Eccleshall local community for decades, and has recently expanded under a different, but familiar, name.

Its new owners have added classic car expertise through their partner brand Roadspeed Classics. And they continue to keep their customers happy with a 95% referral rate.

Challenge

But, there was a problem. The new owners couldn’t shake off the old identity so they asked us for help.

They wanted to end the confusion and start winning new business from outside the area. After all, they now offered classic car expertise.

Solution

If you create a new visual identity, it can often alienate your customers so, for us as brand consultants, it was important to reinforce the local heritage.

Therefore our aim was to create a new identity that was different, but familiar, reflecting a new chapter in the garage’s evolution.

Results

So, we suggested a change of name from, simply, ‘The Garage’ to ‘The Garage Eccleshall’. Our idea was evolution not revolution!

Now the company has a fresh new logo, signage and business stationery.

Basically, we helped to create a new life for an old business with a long and successful history.
