Challenge
The client was launching a new HR business and needed to build their brand from the ground up.
They wanted to avoid looking like every other HR consultancy. The brand needed to feel professional and trustworthy, but also personal, approachable and full of character.
Before jumping into logo design, it was important to understand what the business really stood for. We needed to get under the skin of the company, uncover its true DNA and create strong foundations that would guide the name, identity, messaging and future communications.
Solution
We began with an initial brand building session, using a series of exercises to help diagnose the business from the inside out.
Together, we explored the key questions behind the brand: what they do, why they do it, who they help and how they want to show up in the market. This helped reveal the business purpose, promise, values, behaviours and personality.
From this session, we created a clear promise and purpose statement, along with a set of actionable values and behaviours that truly reflected the way the business wanted to work with its clients.
We then developed a storyboard of creative ideas, exploring business name options, strapline suggestions, logo design concepts, colour palettes, font styles and visual directions. This gave the client a clear picture of how the brand could look, feel and sound before moving into the final identity.
Results
The final result was a stand out business identity with a distinctive name, memorable icon and clear brand direction.
The new identity gave the business a strong platform to launch with confidence. It captured the personality behind the company while keeping the brand professional, credible and easy to recognise.
Most importantly, the brand now has room to grow. With a clear purpose, strong values, defined personality and flexible visual identity, the business is ready to communicate consistently and stand out in a competitive HR market.
